Art Inspired by Nature and Travel : kimgodfreyart.wordpress.com
Art about Nature
The Tweed River in Northern NSW is a place I have lived near for over 4 decades. It is a unique part of the earth and a great inspiration for me to wander along its banks and see the reflections of different times of day, the seasons, the ebb and flow of the daily life of the river and its mighty energy.
Kim Godfrey Art
Kim is an artist who is passionate about painting the environment and travelling to wild places as inspiration.
She has worked in art education for more than three decades including community arts, as a secondary art teacher and in universities as an art education lecturer.
Kim’s philosophy about making art focuses on the natural world and on the moments of reflection on the changing moods of wild and grand places. The perpetual ebb and flow of life on earth is captured in her images with the energy of nature evident through the vibration of colours that evoke a vast and magnificent living planet.
She believes that to connect with nature can act to replenish within us a deep quietude and awe as we look at and feel ourselves embraced by an energy much bigger than our human selves. The wonderment of it all, every day at every moment is available to us.
